FROM THE DRIVER’S SEAT

LENDING A HAND…AND A TRUCK

As a fundraiser, the Boy Scouts in Sacramento collect your discarded Christmas tree from the curb and dispose of it.

This year, Devine was there to help.  When the pick up trucks arrived with the trees from the neighborhood collection, the bounty was loaded into one of our trailers.  Once the curbs are clear of trees and loaded into the trailer, the load was then taken for compost.

The Scouts did a great job, and special thanks to Robert St. John (Devine Driver Trainer) for spending his Saturday to support the cause.

NATIONAL CHRISTMAS TREE

This year’s National Christmas Tree is from the Payette National Forest outside of McCall, ID.  Guess what gift followed the tree to Washington, DC.  Click on the above video to find out.

On the subject of Christmas trees, the good folks at the Nugget Casino Resort in Reno, NV refused to be out-done by those yahoos at Rockefeller Center, New York this year. The Nugget bought a 105′ tree to commemorate the holiday season.  The tree in New York…a measly 94′.
