Tolls are increasing on all Bay Area bridges, including the Carquinez Bridge, which is on the main artery between Oakland and points east on I-80…Sacramento, Reno, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield…you get the picture.

Effective January 1, 2025, the toll for trucks is going up from $27 to $28, and for cars, from $7 to $8.

While this increase is the latest of three the California legislature approved back in 2018, it will not be the last. Discussions are already underway regarding the timeline and amount of the next round.
