A massive boulder, estimated to be two stories high, three stories wide and 458 tons, fell in a rockslide and blocked Highway 50 near Lake Tahoe last month.

There was no way to move this baby, so CalTrans drilled holes in the humongous boulder, filled the holes with explosives, fourteen pounds of explosives in total, and blew it up.

Even after that blasting, pieces as large as 23′ long and 13′ high remained.

That was one colossal boulder!
