The old adage “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb” is not holding true this year.

It certainly came in like a lion with a massive storm that dropped 100 inches of snow over Donner Summit the first weekend of the month. But, the lion holds on tight as more snow was dropped over the mountains the last weekend of the month.

We are eagerly awaiting the lamb to make its appearance and to be on the other side of winter in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
