DELIVERING CHRISTMAS

We should all be familiar with the adage…if you bought it, a truck brought it.

The same holds true for the National Christmas Tree. It was trucked 4,000 miles from Alaska to Washington DC. This year’s tree came from Alaska’s Tongass National Forest, and was delivered on-time this past weekend.

Watch the tree lighting ceremony Thursday, December 5th, here.

DELIVERING THANKSGIVING

Americans buy 46 million turkeys in the month of November. That number equates to more than 17,000 truck loads. Once you account for all the ingredients needed to prepare the side dishes, trucking delivers 65,000 loads to support for your Thanksgiving dinner. WOW!

Speaking of turkeys, did you know there are four US towns named Turkey? They are in Arizona, Louisiana, North Carolina and Texas.
