A couple of marmots turned up in the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after Burning Man, one in San Francisco’s Mission District and another in Antioch. These critters are normally found in the Sierra Nevada mountains, not in Bay Area cities.

The general consensus is they found their way into the vehicle’s undercarriage, drank radiator fluid, passed out and woke up miles from home in a strange land.

For the record, it was not us. We did not bring them out of the Black Rock Desert.

Worry not, both marmots were captured and will be returned to their natural habitats.
