As we previously reported, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) withdrew their waiver request with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule. The good news, without a waiver, CARB cannot enforce the rule. The bad news, the rule remains in place and a waiver can be resubmitted at any time.
In exchange for CARB repealing ACF, the California Trucking Association (CTA) will voluntarily dismiss its lawsuit against CARB and the ACF. Once the rule is appealed, October 2025, the CTA will drop its case.
