It is that time of year again. It is time for our annual deliveries out the playa.

Burning Man is a celebration of community and creativity, but it had a bit of controversy this year. A group calling themselves Seven Circles blockaded the road leading to Burning Man and backed up traffic for miles and miles. The group’s intention was to highlight “capitalism’s inability to address climate and ecological breakdown.” Seven Circles also complained the affluent attendees do not live by the principles of the festival and demanded the organizers “ban private jets, single-use plastics, unnecessary propane burning, and unlimited generator use per capita at the nine day event in Black Rock city, Nevada.”

You know we are living in unusual times when even the live-and-let-live vibe of Burning Man can solicit protests.
