Recently, Haijie Shipping Company launched its Arctic Express service. This service uses 4,900 range TEU container ships to transit the Northern Sea route between China and Europe through the Arctic Ocean.
This route will only be available seasonally, July – November, and boasts an 18-day transit time versus the 28 day transit time of the traditional route via the Suez Canal.
