- The California Air Resources Board (CARB) finalized the official repeal of their Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) regulation requiring private fleets to convert to zero emission trucks. This repeal was a part of the agreement between CARB and the California Trucking Association (CTA) to drop the CTA’s litigation against CARB.
- The Teamsters sue the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) over the agency’s ruling allowing autonomous trucks. The union claims the DMV regulations put safety at risk and the agency did not properly review and communicate the rules’ economic impact.
- After 18 years and cost overruns of an estimated of $93-$198B, the California High-Speed Rail Authority has yet to lay a single track. The Authority is now focused on completing the segment between Bakersfield and Merced before connecting the pieces to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
