Ms. Su, the architect of California law AB5 effectively banning independent contracts in the state, has been nominated by the Biden Administration to head up the US Department of Labor.

Her nomination passed the US Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and will be heard by the full Senate.
