The “Comedian,” an art piece featuring an ordinary banana affixed to a white wall with duct tape, just sold at Sotheby’s New York for $6.2M.
Of course, the new owner will have to change the banana regularly. The piece came with 14-pages of instructions on how to change the banana and duct tape to ensure the proper angles and position are maintained.
“Comedian” is an apt name for such a piece.
