Overview of Devine Intermodal warehouse

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) announced the construction of new truck parking on I-80 at Golconda Summit. There is currently no truck parking at this summit in either direction, and when bad weather hits, trucks have to find a wide spot in the road to park.

Construction will begin this summer on truck parking lots in both the eastbound and westbound directions as well as three additional miles of climbing lanes in each direction.

Speaking of truck parking, summers are especially challenging for truck drivers to find adequate parking. As RV’s and trailers fill the highways, they also fill the few available spots in rest areas and truck-friendly lots. RV’s and trailers have considerably more parking options than trucks. If you are out and about this summer, please keep that fact in mind when parking and exercise your options.
